Freshman Class History
On August
29, 1923, thirty-two students were called into service by Pittsford High
School. We were placed in the Ninth Regiment, Companies A, and B, with
Commander in Chief, R.W. Barshney, General Ford, and Lieutenants Barshney and
King over us. We were received into the ranks by a Reception given by the
Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth Regiments.
We have been in daily
training and have received many drills, we have fought in several skirmishes
known as tests.
Several socials and parties
have given us pleasure while off duty.
We are now in training for
the last hard battle of the year, Semester Examinations, in which we hope to
come out victorious. After that we are promised a leave of absence known
as vacation.
